First steps to immigrate to Canada as a Student

Are you ready for an international education?

Many international students to Canada go on to immigrate permanently; it’s a great way to start your immigration journey. Let me explain how it works!

1.       Choose a program and college that works for your budget

With approximately 250 Colleges and Universities in Canada, each with a different tuition fee, there is likely to be a program that is affordable for your specific education goals and budget. At LDP Immigration Consulting, I work with a team of professional education consultants who are familiar with almost every program of study available in Canada. We are going to find options for your specific budget and program of study and then help you create your best possible application to the school to get your acceptance.

 2.       Bring your spouse and children with you

When you come to study, bring your spouse and your children with you. They can work and go to school as well while you study. Then everyone has an opportunity to experience Canada together as a family.

 3.       Get Canadian Work Experience

As an international student in Canada, you are given the right to work while you are here on a study permit. This work needs to be part-time during school term but can be full time during your school breaks and over the term breaks. After you graduate, you get to stay on with a post graduate work permit and get that critical Canadian work experience to contribute to your permanent immigration goal.

 4.       Achieve Permanent Residence

Now you have a job, and you have started to build your life in Canada; it is time to apply for permanent residence. You have truly become part of the Canadian experience. Perhaps after a few years you may decide to bring your parents to join you in Canada and even become a Citizen.

Being an international student in Canada is an exciting and rewarding experience. Canada is safe, welcoming, and offers lots of opportunities for international students to stay in Canada permanently and become permanent residents and citizens.

If you are thinking about exploring an international education in Canada and seeking an immigration consultant who will provide a deep level of guidance and professionalism, I would be happy to meet with you to understand your immigration goals and see how you might start your Canadian Immigration journey.
